Two strangers each created a profile on Facebook dating. Both just looking for people to date. One only speaking Spanish, the other only English. Spending time looking at pictures and communicating through Google translator. It was a great first date. We thought it would end there because the language but we continued to talk through text and set up more dates. With each date we didn’t care about the language barrier, it was the joy of being together, laughing, and continued talking. Taking pictures and creating memories. We both found something that was missing in our lives- looking past the small things and enjoying what each had been missing- LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, and COMPANIONSHIP. We’ve had multiple talks about where we see ourselves and what we both were looking for. Henry said that once the words I LOVE YOU are said, there’s no going back. One asked, the other said Yes. We wanted the official announcement to be special. Henry wanted to ask Steve’s mom permission to marry.
