Meet our friends and family who will be walking down the aisle with us! #BrideTribe #IDoCrew

Anya

Bride

“And mountains may rise and fall, and the sun might wither away, and the sea claim the land and swallow the sky. But you will always be mine.

Steve

Groom

And the stars might fall from the heavens, and night might cloak the earth, but until darkness dies, I will always be yours.”

Krisandra

Maid of Honor

The Brides Sister (and 2 out of 2 for the 2FB clique). It's not common that you meet your soul sister in middle school because people confused you for one another all the time, but thank goodness we did. Despite being the victim to trash cans, streets, and walls at the hands of the "innocent" bride, I've loved her more than words can say! We really are so much the same soul. So, from sharing hot chocolate and headphones (Destiny's Child, we're so cool), to sharing stories of growing up when we were separated for the last decade, I'm so happy to share this most important event in life with her!

Rob

Best Man

I'm a career student studying Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. I met Steve in our freshman year of college, and Anya when Steve and I were sophomores. I was Steve & Anya's third wheel for several years, and I firmly believe that I was the glue holding them together. I'm from Radford, VA, and my parents forbade me from living more than 20 miles away (hence my 10+ year tenure at VT).

Lily

Bridesmaid

Hi y’all! I have spent the majority of my life as a VA girl (wahoowa!) and decided on LUCOM for medical school. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made thanks to the incredible friends I’ve met there- including Anya! We met our first year of medical school and quickly bonded over our love of leadership, fashion and truffle fries. We share the belief that most problems can be solved with hugs. I am so excited to stand by her and Steve as they promise to spend their lives together.

Brandon

Groomsman

I've known Steve since I first moved to the neighborhood at the start of second grade. One might say that's too long. We managed to grow up creating hilarious home videos and games in his backyard. Once Steve went away to college, the rest of our friend group would visit him at least once a semester to party, and I would pretend to be a VT fan. I met Anya during one of our trips. I acted my normal, charming self. I believe she told Steve I was the coolest; with the best jokes, and the most mature out of all his friends. Which is all true. Nowadays, Steve and I run mud races (shirtless... for the ladies) and try to travel to beer festivals. But no matter what states we live in, we'll always be the neighborhood kids.

Sally

Bridesmaid

Anya & I met when we started med school together. I'm so glad I forced her to be my friend and gave her no other option. Looking back, I'm sure she's glad too (or maybe not, and she's just friends with me because she's scared of me). Either way, I'm so blessed to have a friend as loyal, kind and compassionate as Anya. We've only known each other for 3 years, but it's a friendship where you feel like old friends. Med school brought us together in a way that's hard to describe, but somehow we became lifelong friends/sisters. From bonding over Grey's Anatomy, trips to the Lincoln Memorial at 3am, and late nights studying until we're cross-eyed, we've conquered some obstacles together. I'm so excited to see her marry the love of her life, and I'm thankful to be a part of the big day!

Alan

Groomsman

Steve and Alan met freshman year through mutual friends and that one huge frat party, the name of which escapes Alan at the time of writing this. Just narrowly avoiding being roommates during college, they made up for lost time by spending 4 years sleeping in adjacent rooms in Reston. They bonded over their valiant (but ultimately losing, like really badly) efforts at recreational basketball, as well as their shared time preparing meals in the kitchen. Alan currently lives in Seattle and spends his time inventing new colors and writing poetry.

Miranda

Bridesmaid

Brett

Groomsman

Steve and I grew up next door to each other and as a result, a beautiful friendship based on proximity to each other was formed. We grew up playing video games, card games, sports, and watching terrible MTV shows with his sisters Amanda and Ashley. There was always a palpable jealousy from Steve as his fashion sense could never keep up with my black jeans in the summertime or all-weather cowboy boots. Most recently, we enjoy discussing theories about the universe and human existence and sharing book recommendations. I suppose we've grown up, and Steve managed to move to an entirely different state while I managed to move 15 minutes down the road from where we grew up, but I'll always think of us as the neighborhood kids.

Amanda

Bridesmaid

Amanda is Steve's younger sister by 12 months and arguably his first boss and best friend. Amanda met Anya 9 years ago and since then Anya has given her an escape and excuse to go shopping and to treat ourselves to the luxuries of hair salons. Amanda also acted as the engagement photographer and captured their picturesque proposal where Anya was truly surprised and totally in shock. She is excited about being a bridesmaid and having the opportunity to stand beside them during the start of their new journey together.

Nick

Groomsman

Disclaimer: we are not related. I met Steve and Anya 5+ years ago. I was on a first date with Steve's sister Amanda, and she asked that the two of them come as her rescue plan. I'm so glad I met Steve that day...as all my drinks were put on the Steve "Hauser" tab. The bartender was overwhelmed with Ho(a)users and panicked. Since then Steve and I have grown close whether he likes it or not. I look forward to making many more of our infamous bets, losing almost all of them, and never paying up. Not his brother, Nick Houser.

Ashley

Bridesmaid

Ashley is Steve's youngest (and coolest) sister. Having known Steve her entire life, he has mentioned on many occasions (though conveniently with no witnesses), how much he wishes he could be like her. Ashley is excited to gain a new sister (as the first one hasn't quite panned out as she had hoped) and she apologizes to Anya for creeping her out with all of the Wizard of Oz pictures in her childhood room. Ashley couldn’t be happier for both the bride and groom and cannot wait to celebrate on May 27!

Josh

Groomsman

Josh has known Steve for over 5 years. He may be dating Steve's little sister Ashley, but some could argue he is dating the whole family. He is excited to see Anya joining that family even if he will be the only non-Ha(o)user left at family functions.
