Stephany had just moved from Ontario to Quebec and started a new job at a daycare in Dorval, Quebec where she met Crystal (Shannon’s sister). Quickly, they became friends and Crystal soon learned that Stephany was single. Secretly, an idea began to form. Crystal noticed one day at work that Stephany was wearing a plaid shirt and approached very nonchalantly, and said, “You know, I have a brother and he’s single too! You wear plaid, and he likes plaid! You’d be great together!”. For weeks, Crystal spoke of her brother to Stephany and tried to convince her to meet him. She planned a chance meeting one day where Shannon would drop off his mother at the daycare they both worked at but alas, they did not cross paths. Months passed and now Bryanna (another friend) was willingly entangled in this match making scheme. Along with Crystal, Bryanna did her best trying to convince Stephany that meeting someone did not mean anything beyond making friends. Many late night conversations between Bryanna and Crystal ensued and their matchmaking took off. Still, Stephany declined (for about 3 months!). Crystal then learned that Stephany also resided in Châteauguay and asked her brother to maybe show her around as she was new in town! His response? “She doesn’t have google?!” And he also declined. After months of constantly trying to convince the pair to meet, and after Stephany agreed to help Crystal with making some decorations for her daughter’s birthday, both Stephany and Shannon caved and finally met. The rest, as they say, is history. And you all know the rest, anyway!
