How can I get around in Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa

Answer

Taxis are plentiful everywhere, including Barra de Potosí and Troncones, so that getting around shouldn't be a problem wherever you are (except when it's raining). The taxis are usually very clean and well maintained. Taxis can also be reserved for trips to the airport or simply for sightseeing. They can be reached at (755) 554-3680, (755) 554-8809 and (755) 554-8772 (APAAZ); (755) 554-4583 and (755) 554-3311 (UTAAZ); and (755) 554-4763 (UTZI). Their rates are fixed and are supposed to be displayed in their cars, but it's good practice to ALWAYS ask how much they charge to take you someplace BEFORE getting in their car.

There are countless activities in the area, including: Horseback Riding, snorkeling and kayaking in Las Gatas, zip lining with beautiful views over a tropical forest, exploring recently excavated pyramids, exploring the quaint shops and many restaurants in the city of Zihuatanejo, surfing at Playa Linda or Troncones, and golfing at Palma Real.
