We highly recommend Beacon, NY as a hang. It's walkable, cute, and has everything. Great shops, chow, bars, salons, art galleries, and a hip, creative, awesome vibe. It's easily accessible via MetroNorth and is a 9 minute drive from the Courtyard by Marriott. The Hudson Valley is an incredibly historical area ... think Rockefellers.... so the estate and mansion tours are amazing! Also, .... there's this place called NYC that is oh, so very close. NYC can accommodate your every need.
