Stephanie & Mike met while studying at Fairfield University in 2015. Stephanie was a senior in college, and Mike was in his final year of grad school. Alumni weekend, they attended a party at the house Mike had previously lived in during his Senior year at Fairfield, otherwise known as "Mile High Club." Mike saw Stephanie at the party and was immediately intrigued. He struck up a conversation with her in the kitchen, eager to learn more about the cute girl with the bright blue eyes and dimples. Mid-conversation, he leaned back and carelessly placed his hand on a stove-top burner, which Stephanie noticed was turned on. Stephanie screeched and grabbed his hand from the burner. Mike laughed; he had set up the trick to get her attention, having known about the quirks of his old undergrad residence, including the broken stove top. Little did Stephanie know at that moment, she was about to embark on a life with Mike filled with many more goofy tricks & lots more love!

Fast forward five or so years, Mike decided he was going to propose. A romantic at heart, Mike knew that he wanted to make this day extra special. With the help of his sister and mom, and Stephanie’s friend, Abbie, he planned the most amazing, unforgettable night. He came up with some very elaborate lies to get Stephanie to Sea Girt beach on a Saturday evening. Stephanie was reluctant, as she had recently gotten 6 stitches in her foot following a surgery. Mike insisted that they go, telling her to put on her comfiest pair of shoes to make the trek. Stephanie started to get suspicious as they were walking down the boardwalk and he nervously began to stumble on his words. From there, Mike knew he had to get down on one knee before the whole plan was blown. Stephanie was so shocked and completely speechless. Eventually, after Mike asked a few more times, she realized this was actually happening and said YES! We are both SO excited to celebrate our love with all of you, and can't wait for August 6th!
