He first saw me walking in the hallway at work. I won't say what first attracted him to me, but it led to a first date. WINK Michael finally asked me out one day after many hallway conversations. Went to lunch one day. Michael was sweet. He opened the car door, and the restaurant door. We talked about each others like, interest, and about camping trips we had planned for that coming weekend. When he was dropping me back off at work, Michael asked if I wanted to go to dinner. I said, "sure, call me". then I turned to walk away and he yelled out the truck window, "Can I get your telephone number?". I gave it to him and went to go back up the elevator to my office. It wasn't until I was in the elevator that I realized this was in fact our first date. Michael said knew he liked me when he realized they liked most of the same things. We did go to dinner on what was our "official" date at La Barca Grill & Cantina. So thank you County of Orange. Thank you for giving me my family!
Michael got permission from my father to propose marriage to me. He intended a romantic proposal during our upcoming trip to Yosemite. However, at the time we were meant to be in Yosemite, the Californian powers that be staged a complete governmental shut down. Meaning, the national parks were not open, meaning there went the romantic proposal he had in mind. I'll be honest, it got to a point where every time we went to Disneyland I made sure my makeup was done. The proposal finally took place on Christmas morning, 2018. Only their son and the brides best friend were present. Michael slipped the perfect engagement ring at the bottom of my Christmas stocking. We announced it to family and close friends that morning. It was intimate. It was perfect.
