Nothing!! Just bring a willing attitude to try something unfamiliar to you, and go with the flow! Kippot will be provided, typically only men where a kippa. Woman typically cover their shoulders, but not a requirement.
Auf Ruf (pronounced UHF-ruhf) - Saturday morning before our wedding we will have Shabbat morning services with our congregation, Mishkan Chicago (mishkanchicago.org). We will be called up to the Torah to make a blessing and then the Rabbi will bless us. There may be the opportunity to throw candy at us! Havdallah - we will separate Shabbat from the rest of the week with a beautiful ceremony as we end our last Shabbat prior to becoming husband and wife - this will take place at the Rehearsal dinner Tisch - an opportunity to welcome guests, say a few words, sing some songs, nosh a little - this will happen before the ceremony Bedeken - the veiling ceremony Ketubah - We will sign our marriage contract which will include a few witness signatures Ceremony - we will get married under a marriage canopy called a Chuppah which will be made of Gideon's father's prayer shawl (tallit) Reception - We'll say a few blessings, dance the Horah, have some Israeli dancing, and dance all night!
November 7th with Mishkan, mid morning. (We will update with the exact time and location when it gets closer). The bride and groom will be called up to the Torah for a special wedding blessing.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!
We will be sending food requests on the invitations. We are fully aware of some of the food needs (Kosher, Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free).
Phones can take fantastic pictures! Feel free to take pictures with your mind and your phone, but please do not post photos on social media. We've hired photographers and videographers who will capture the moment and document everything!
