Let us tell you the tale of our Forever & a day

The adventure did not begin in a tavern, nor was it given through a quest, it started with a case of mistaken identity. It began during Elise’s freshman year of high school. She chose to attend the newly reopened high school with the intention of a fresh start. There would barely be a handful of people she knew in the new environment, so when multiple strangers began to greet her as she roamed the halls between classes. Elise took the chance, she rolled the dice, and got a Nat 1 on her Charisma check… So Elise cast Haste and quickly maneuvered around the strangers without even acknowledging them. Meanwhile, Stephanie, due to lack of transportation, followed her older sister to whichever high school her sister chose, and as fate would have it, she too started her Freshman year at the reopened high school. Now Stephanie knew there would be “strangers” to greet her on the first day, but knew not to worry, since the strangers were her sister’s friends. Yet it was strange that no greetings were ever exchanged. Additionally, when Stephanie returned home, her sister questioned why Stephanie ignored the friends’ greetings that day. All Stephanie could do was tilt her head and ponder… It was in Japanese class the next day, that the two adventurers would finally meet. During their class, they were asked to draw a short comic introducing themselves, then present to their classmates. It was in this moment, when Stephanie gazed upon Elise’s drawing, that Stephanie decided that Elise was destined to be her ally and friend, regardless of Elise’s opinion. It wasn’t until weeks later that the realization that both Elise and Stephanie look similar from behind came to light. Even Stephanie’s sister had to admit that on the first day of Japanese class, she had mistaken Elise for Stephanie from behind. This is the tale of our beginning, and as we conquered our trials and celebrated our victories, our relationship grew and now we have promised to be together forever and a day.
