Groom
I'm an adventurous SoCal native, hailing from Downey, CA. After graduating from UCSB in 2017, I returned to Los Angeles, where I met Steph Chan. In 2021, we set our course for Seattle, WA. My upbringing involved globe-trotting and sports galore. Beyond my fandom for NFL & NBA teams, I'm a culinary explorer, golf enthusiast, and entrepreneur.
Bride
Steph is a Los Angeles local and self-proclaimed foodie with a persistent taste for adventure. She loves the thrill of exciting new experiences, such as free-diving with sharks or traveling to foreign countries. On a regular weekend, you'll find her baking Hong Kong egg tarts, taking jazzfunk dance classes, or catching up with her girls over boba milk tea. Steph lived in Oahu, HI for 4.5 years and now resides in Seattle, WA with Andy.
Father of the Groom
My dad grew up in Brazil before making a life-changing move to the US, where he met my mom. Together, they raised two children, with me as their eldest. His passion for adventure led him to explore the countless parks/landmarks across the US. He enjoys hiking, and thrives on the open road, riding motorcycles with fellow enthusiasts. He's always eager to embrace new experiences, whether it's sampling exotic cuisines or diving into new hobbies.
Father of the Bride
Originally from Hong Kong, my dad moved to Hawaii with his parents and siblings to attend college. Shortly after, he moved to Los Angeles, where he met and fell in love with my mom. My dad is the one who taught me how to ride a bike, drive a car, and do my taxes. His tireless dedication to provide for our family has been a source of inspiration, showing me the value of hard work and determination. I wouldn't be who I am today without him!
Mother of the Groom
My mom's story began in Korea, where she was born and raised before moving to the United States, where she crossed paths with my dad. She worked alongside my dad for many years before retiring a few years ago. She now relishes her free time indulging in Korean dramas, diving into books, and spending time with her siblings.
Mother of the Bride
Originally from Taiwan, my mom moved to Los Angeles on her own where she met and fell in love with my dad. My mom has the biggest heart and is always the life of the party. She's also the one who taught me to be kind and thoughtful, financially savvy, and family-oriented. She loves fiercely and has always encouraged me to chase after my dreams. I owe a lot of who I am to her!
Best Man
Marcus is one of my oldest and closest friends since the 7th grade. We shared many experiences growing up together, from playing sports to exploring new places - Joined at the hip throughout school. We certainly had our fair share of mischief, and can confidently say he's a solid partner-in-crime. When he's not working, you'll likely find him traveling, attending musical festivals, or enjoying new hobbies like paragliding and surfing. He is truly creative at heart with an adventurous soul.
Maid of Honor
Meet my incredible Maid of Honor, Janelle, my older cousin, best friend, and confidant. We're practically sisters and can read each other's thoughts with a single glance. She's always been the confident and graceful role model I've looked up to, even as kids. Our favorite activity is getting in our feels debriefing about big life events over a poke bowl and boba milk tea. She's all about soaking up the sunshine and finding ways to celebrate others. You can expect Janelle to be the first one on the dance floor, dropping it low, and the last one to leave!
Groomsman
In our years of friendship, Kirk and I clicked based on our values and hobbies. We especially connected over our passion for golf and our entrepreneurial mindset, which blossomed into our start-up company. Aside from work, he is constantly searching for new experiences and is always hungry to learn (and eat). You can find him on the mats practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or doing calisthenics. Kirk is my friend, brother and co-founder.
Bridesmaid
Meet my college ride-or-die / "wifey" and forever bestie, Julia. We met while pledging together for a business fraternity in college and became inseparable quickly. She's the one who introduced me to the rave life and always encouraged me to bring out my inner baddie by being as extra as possible with my hair, nails, outfit, and attitude. Even though we're long distance best friends now, I can consistently count on her to be in my corner and to remind me that life is too short to let the haters win.
Groomsman
I met Ryan at our mutual friend's house the second day I moved to Seattle - Turned out he was my neighbor, residing a few blocks away! Outside his professional life, you can find him snowboarding in the winter, grilling in the summer, and scheming on his next business venture year-around! Ryan wears many hats (handyman, credit card enthusiast, human calculator, annoying board game victor, etc.), and I am blessed to also call him my friend.
Bridesmaid
From pledging together, to being roommates our senior year of college, and now my bridesmaid, Issa is one of my best friends and has been a constant in my life. We bonded over how similar our upbringings were as only children, our shared adoration for piglets and Beyonce, and how we somehow are always simultaneously put-together yet have chaotic energy at the same time. She's my go-to partner-in-crime for a night out and is a self-care queen. Ask Issa about her legendary late night chicken adobo dish!
Groomsman
I first met Rohit at work and we quickly became "work-friends", taking extended lunches at buffets, playing online games with each other during work, and hitting up Happy Hours after clocking out. Our work-friendship grew to a more personal friendship as we introduced our partners; We went on cabin trips, attended concerts, experienced cultural festivals, and hosted many board game nights. Outside work, you can find Rohit playing Cricket. Rohit has a big heart and is very easy to befriend.
Bridesmaid
My amazing older cousin, basically my sister, and best friend, Eva, has a heart as big as Japan (her favorite place!) and is one of the kindest people you'll meet, always putting others before herself. She's looked out for me ever since I could remember, volunteering herself as a babysitter and making sure I was well-fed as a toddler. Ever since we started living together in 2022, I've gotten so close to Eva that we joke about sharing the same brain cell as we frequently catch each other saying the exact same words at the same time in similar tones.
Officiant
Meet Jason Aramaki, the calm and kind officiant who has woven his honest and loving presence into the lives of Steph and Andrew. From witnessing their relationship blossom to sharing in countless Seattle adventures, he stands as the serene cornerstone of their friend group. With a perpetual smile, Jason's unwavering support and genuine demeanor make him an invaluable part of our journey. He's the older brother we never had and always wished for!
