It was the Fall of 2014 and Stephanie was talking with friends outside of their class. Josh was walking by the group as their mutual friend Breanna shouted, “hey pretty boy!” Stephanie looked over and thought oh hey, he is pretty. Shortly after their paths crossed again when Danny, another mutual friend, pulled Stephanie aside at a house party and said “have you met my friend Josh? He’s Italian.” At that moment, Josh walked over to introduce himself and they soon became friends. Not long after they had their first date at the movies to see Gone Girl where Josh wore “hideous” jeans and sneakers. Josh doesn’t recall. Despite this, they remained friends through the rest of the school year and up until the time that Josh went to Alabama and Stephanie left for San Francisco. They reconnected in 2018 at the music festival CRSSD when Josh noticed Stephanie and her outrageous spray tan. Soon after they were dancing and having fun as if no time had passed. Around this time Josh lost his brother, Jake. Stephanie was the first person that Josh spoke to about Jake’s passing because he felt so comfortable around her. Their friendship reached a deeper level, and they became more than just friends. In 2022, Stephanie took a leap of faith and moved across the country to Nashville where they settled into their first home. In 2023, they took a trip to Bali with a group of friends. To Stephanie’s surprise, Josh got down on one knee at the edge of an infinity pool (where he almost fell) and asked Stephanie to marry him. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate with you on August 31, 2024, as they officially become “The Palet’s.”
