Will you have designated room blocks?

Answer

Yes, we have a designated room block at the Courtyard Marriott Charleston Waterfront. Our link to rooms have now officially closed. If you need to book a room, you will need to book through the hotel's website. If there are no rooms available at the Courtyard Charleston Waterfront, there is a Hilton located in the same area.

Where is the Welcome Party?

Answer

Welcome Party will be held at Bodega which is located at 23 Ann St. Charleston, SC. It is located in an alley between Ann St and John St. It is connected to the same long building as Share House. If you are coming from Ann St, there is a children's museum on the corner. If you are coming from John St, it is located next to the bus terminal/across the street from Charleston Music Hall. Bodega is the entrance closer to John St. It is a cobble alley way, so be careful. There is a ramp connected to the building, if needed. Share House and Bodega are owned by the same company. Share House is also a bar that will be open at the same time. We have Bodega to ourselves, so be sure to go into the right location. Bodega will open to the public at 9pm. We do not have to leave at 9pm; we will just make random additional friends.

Is there transportation to the Welcome Party?

Answer

We suggest ubering to the Welcome Party from the hotel. If you will already be out and about around town, try one of the bike taxis! If you are driving and not from the area, just beware that King Street does close half its street on Friday nights.

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?

Will there be transportation provided to the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, we will have a shuttle service from the hotel to and from the ceremony. There will be one Luxury Motorcoach and one Mercedes Sprinter making two trips. Trip 1 will be departing at 3:50. Trip 2 will be departing at 4:10. At the end of the night, the Luxury Motorcoach will be available for multiple trips to the hotel. Yes, the venue is located .5 miles away from the hotel. For your safety, we do not suggest walking. (Yes, even though there is a sidewalk) Yes, this will only be a 2-5 min shuttle ride.

Are kids allowed?

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside. Cocktail hour will be both inside and outside. The patio is covered and heaters will be provided. Reception is inside.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We are requesting our guest to follow Cocktail Attire/Semi-formal Dress Code. Charleston weather in February can be bit of a range lows in 30s to highs in the 70s.

What time will the wedding ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin around 4:30pm. Guest arrival will start at 4:00pm.
