Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Lynn Hartle

Mother of the Bride

Think of the sweetest and most caring person you've ever met. Now, meet the MOST sweet and caring person in the world, Stephanie's mother Lynn. After Lynn had her two children, she devoted everything she could into raising them to be respectful and genuinely good people on top of being a full time, hardworking R.N. She is a loving and beautiful mother in all ways, shapes and forms. Her likes are riding the golf cart, running and watching Jeopardy with her Labradoodle, Murphy, wine tasting and being a passionate animal lover. Anyone who knows Steph knows how much she loves, respects and admires her mom. These two are a testament to the loving bond between mother and daughter. Lynn thanks Dan for loving Stephanie for everything that she is and looks forward to welcoming him to the family!

Kiyomi Griffith

Mother of the Groom

Kiyomi is a caring, loving and strong woman. She was born just outside of Tokyo, Japan, where she was the youngest of 7 siblings! She then moved to the United States at the age of 22. During her time in California, she met a special man, James, and they began their lives together. Kiyomi is an incredibly devoted mother, who instilled her values onto her two children and taught them how to be respectful, caring, loving people. Aside from being the best mom around, Kiyomi enjoys flower arranging, pilates and traveling. And with a laugh so infectious, it's impossible not to have fun around her! Dan feels extremely blessed to have been raised by such an amazing woman. Kiyomi looks forward to welcoming Stephanie to the family!

Chris Hartle

Father of the Bride

Chris is the stepfather of Stephanie and Matthew and the father of his son Matthew and daughter Blair. If you do the math correctly, Stephanie does indeed have two brothers named Matt! Chris has lived in Charleston, SC for over twenty years and at one point lived in a houseboat on the harbor! After having a successful career as a fighter pilot in the Navy and commercial pilot for Delta Airlines, Chris has retired and lives life to the fullest. He absolutely loves golf; no he absolutely is obsessed with golf! He also volunteers at the local Respite Center and loves to enjoy a good glass of wine while watching the sunset or in front of his favorite show, NBC Nightly News. Chris is a positive man who invokes happiness to all he meets. Chris looks forward to welcoming Dan to the family!

James Griffith

Father of the Groom

James is a true embodiment of what a Father should be. He is kind, compassionate, smart, hard working, and selfless and dedicated to his family. James grew up in Bakersfield and moved to the Bay Area to work in the Silicon Valley, where he met Kiyomi. James is an intelligent, successful electrical engineer by day and amazing, devoted father by night. He is quite the grill-master and cooking is one of his favorite past-times, including making one of his favorite dishes Paella. Dan will always appreciate having his father around for someone to listen and depend on. James has inspired Dan to follow in his footsteps of being not only an incredible provider for his family, but one who does it with dignity, care and love.

Matthew McCartney

Brother of the Bride & Groomsman

Matt is one of those special people that you are lucky to know once in a lifetime. He is caring and shows this through his affection for his family and friends; he is a leader and responsible which is displayed from his recent promotion to Captain and his hard work in the Army; he is funny and this is a fact because anyone who knows him has a “Matt Story” that makes their belly fill with laughter. After spending almost a year in Afghanistan, Steph is beyond thankful to have him back in the U.S. and a part of this wedding. One of her favorite memories of Matt is when they took a sister/ brother trip to Joshua Tree to hike the rocks and appreciate nature together. Stephanie's life would not be complete without Matt, and he is the perfect future brother for Dan.

Christina Griffith

Sister of the Groom & Bridesmaid

Not only is Christina Dan’s older sister, she is also his role model and mentor. Growing up with Christina was a very special time for Dan, as he has many fond memories of their youth. She has a heart of gold and is one of the kindest people that Dan has ever known. Dan has always relied on his big sister for advice and guidance to help him in life. Christina is currently living and working in the Bay Area, and recently finished her masters degree in Business at Santa Clara University. Dan is extremely proud of his sister and her accomplishments, and is so grateful to have had an older sister who has positively influenced and shaped who he is today.

Laura Rardin

Matron of Honor

After Laura thoughtfully invited Stephanie as a last minute guest to her Bat Mitzvah, she knew that they would be friends forever. Laura is that special friend you only get once in a lifetime. She is the rock, the cheerleader and the inspirer. No matter how far these two travel and no matter how much time flies by, it does not matter because their friendship is strong and will stand through anything. Why? Because these two girls have been though everything together, from first loves to first heartbreaks; first cars to first crashes; first parties to first groundings; first arguments to first forgiveness; and first weddings to first matrons of honor! It's safe to say that Stephanie would not be who she is today without Laura and she is honored to have such an amazing person at her side.

Jon Pham

Best Man

Jon is the best man and best friend anyone could ever ask for. The two of them met in college at the University of Southern California while pledging in their fraternity and immediately became the closest of friends. They bonded over a love of music and sports, and were roommates for several years at college. Jon’s passion for music and significant contributions to Dan’s music projects have helped propel the GRYFFIN project into what it is today. Without John’s selflessness and intelligence, Dan’s music career would not be where it is. Beyond that, Jon is a truly special person. He is incredibly kind, caring, loyal, and genuine to everyone he meets. Dan is forever grateful to have met Jon in college and appreciates their friendship very much.

Alison Hardy

Bridesmaid

Alison is not only Stephanie's cousin, she is one of her most admirable and genuine friends. Stephanie grew up wanting to be Alison and Alison more than lived up to the supreme role model figure. Stephanie admired Alison’s taste in literature and how she quenched her curious mind with living in Germany and exploring new cultures and languages. Alison taught Stephanie to work hard; hold true friendships close to the heart; not waste time with flakey or rude girls; fight back with mean boys; and to wear intelligence (nerdy) on her sleeve instead of being ashamed of it. When these two girls were little, Alison used to dress Stephanie up, curl her hair and make her fake-marry the neighborhood boys. Now, Alison gets to in real-life help her little cousin marry the man of her dreams.

Austin Evenson

Groomsman

Austin is the youngest and most recent friend of Dan’s, but also happens to be one of his closest and most cherished. While Austin was attending Georgetown, he discovered Dan’s music on the Internet and reached out to work together. That began a successful working relationship and lasting friendship that has lasted nearly 4 years. Austin is smart, hard working, motivated, and always an absolute pleasure to be around. He has a youthful spirit and energy that is infectious and undeniable, and makes everyone around him a happier and better person. Dan and Stephanie are both very fortunate to have Austin in their lives. Dan and Steph both joke around and call Austin their “son” and in return he calls them “mom and dab”. The three of them have developed a special and endearing friendship.

Brooke Gothard

Bridesmaid

Brooke and Stephanie have many similarities. In elementary and middle school they played tennis, had sleep-overs, the same friends, traveled on trips through employee benefits on Delta Airlines and loved to make good grades. In high school they had one class together every single day for four years, Homeroom. Stephanie and Brooke continued to strive together in school to be on the honor roll while going on fun trips and being a part of a great group of supportive and loving girlfriends. One special night when Steph had one of her famous basement get-togethers, Brooke met a boy named Mike. Now, they are married and just welcomed their first baby girl into the world, Blakeleigh. Steph is thrilled to also marry the man of her dreams and is honored to have such an amazing friend by her side

Bill Fickett

Groomsman

Bill is one of Dan’s oldest and best childhood friends. They spent their youth dominating the basketball courts and sharing their love of bay area sports. Even though they went to different high school and colleges, their friendship has remained strong and true. One of Dan’s fondest memories of Bill was when Dan last minute flew out to Las Vegas to celebrate Bill’s 21st birthday. They had a blast gambling and legally sipping on whiskey. Whenever Dan comes back to the Bay Area to visit, Bill is one of his first calls. Dan knows he can always count on their friendship and is fortunate to have Bill in his life.

Cayley Mullen

Bridesmaid

Steph and Cayley are all laughs all of the time. The two girls met at Auburn University on the last day of rush week during a terrible rainstorm where, together, they shared an umbrella and decided to join the same sorority. What a great decision that turned out to be because it the laid the foundation for a strong friendship. Cayley is one of those people that you can count on for a smile no matter what. She is intelligent, witty, inspiring and motivational. She radiates a positive energy through everything she does all of the time; this is even true when she sleep-talks, which has awakened Steph many times! These two girls have inside jokes, memories and laughter that will follow them throughout their lifetime and Steph would not be who she is today without Cayley.

Brad Phillipi

Groomsman

Brad is not only Dan’s first friend in college, but happens to be one of his closest and best friends. They first met at freshman orientation at USC and immediately grew close. They lived in the same dormitory freshman year, and ultimately pledged and joined the same fraternity while as school. Brad is intelligent, adventurous, and ambitious. These qualities have led him to a successful entrepreneurial career and lifestyle. Beyond that, Brad is also sincere and compassionate, and has been there for Dan for support and guidance throughout their time as friends. Dan feels very lucky to have met Brad at USC, and is grateful for their continued friendship throughout the years.

Charlsey Kaufman

Bridesmaid

Charlsey is Stephanie's newest friend but that does not mean that these two are not as close as a pair of 80-year-old parrots. Stephanie was blessed when she met Charlsey while living in Charleston. They met through a mutual friend, Caroline, and it was pretty immediate that these two knew they would become best of friends. Charlsey is that girl you can talk with and confide in, without any drama or opinions. Charlsey has the ability to spin any terrible disaster or silly situation into a hysterical chain of events. Charlsey is not only trustworthy and funny; she is also one strong chick. Having been through some recent challenges, Charlsey has opened her eyes to truth, realized who and what is important in her life and has happily married the man of her dreams!

Brant Wilczek

Groomsman

When Dan moved to Chicago, he needed a roommate. Having a hard time finding one, he resorted to the riskiness of Craigslist. It is because of Craigslist that Dan and Brant met and became roommates and friends! They enjoyed going to watch Chicago sports and experience the Chicago nightlife. Brant introduced him to his acquaintances and really helped make Chicago feel like home. Brant was also very involved in the beginning of Dan and Stephanie’s relationship since she would visit them frequently in Chicago. When Dan moved onto New York City, they stayed in close touch. One time Brant visited Dan in NYC where they went to a music festival and had a great time! Brant is a special friend to Dan and he is glad to have him be a part of the wedding party.

Lauren Green

Bridesmaid

In 6th grade, Lauren and Stephanie met, became instant friends and together conquered the trials and tribulations of middle school. Steph would complete Lauren's math homework in exchange for tips on how to be cool and make friends. Nothing could get between these two girls' friendship; not evil science teachers; ridiculously laborious projects; or the fact that Steph could beat Lauren in tennis with casts on her arms. Lauren always had the ability to put a smile on Steph's face through inside jokes, silly humor and the general positive and mature outlook she has had on life. Steph always admired Lauren's kind heart, good attitude and beautiful soul. These two girls have and will always remain dearly close friends and together and will continue to conquer life’s trials and tribulations.

Kenan Frager

Groomsman

Kenan is Dan’s great childhood friend. Growig up together, the two of them were partners in crime. They played pickup sports, chased girls and got really, really good at video games. Even though these two have chosen different paths, like Dan going to USC and Kenan going to the rival UCLA, their friendship has lasted throughout all the years. Kenan is incredibly smart, funny, and someone that knows how to make anyone smile. He currently lives in San Francisco and rescues cats with his girlfriend! Dan has always held Kenan in high regard, and is so fortunate that through all the years they’ve remained so close. Dan appreciates having Kenan in his life and is proud to have him by his side on his wedding day.

Sarah Brignet

Bridesmaid

Sarah is Stephanie's longest friend. The two of them first met in 3rd grade but became friends in 5th grade when they decided to be in the talent show together and dance along to the song, "I Say a Little Prayer for You". If you are unfamiliar with this little gem, it goes a little something like this, "Forever and ever, we never will part…oh how I love you. Together, forever, that's how it must be…to live without you, would only mean heartbreak for me." Sarah nailed the performance with perfect gymnastics and Steph blew it with a nose-diving somersault, and even though it was embarrassing for everyone, Sarah helped Steph get up and brush it off. This song is actually a great theme for their friendship because if Stephanie had to live without Sarah, it would only mean heartbreak for her.

Matt Adler

Groomsman

Monster Matt is that rare and amazing person that one hopes to encounter in a lifetime. These two met through their love of music as Matt being an agent and Dan being the talent. It is actually safe to say that Dan would probably not have even chosen music as a career if it was not for Matt’s friendly phone call to be his booking agent for Dan’s first music project. Their highly successful working partnership boomed into a fun and strong friendship. Now, Matt is a mega-agent in the music industry and is obtaining his MBA from NYU. And although they are no longer working together professionally, their friendship has never wavered and has only strengthened through time. Dan is beyond thankful to have received that phone call 8 years ago.

Sarah Lovaglio

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Stephanie met during their fun and crazy college years at Auburn University. These two had an instant and blossoming friendship made from similar tastes in humor, TV, music and culture. Some of Steph's fondest memories of Sarah are when she visited her in Florida - one time with a broken toe and crutches and the other time when they went bar hopping in Orlando. These two girls have been on other fun trips; Miami where they partied until 8 in the morning; Chicago where the met Kesha & danced at Kingston Mines; New York City, amongst millions of other people, when they unexpectedly ran into each other in the street. Through the distances, no matter what and no matter when, they will always stay in touch and hold each other dear in their hearts.

Tommy Byrnes

Groomsman

Tommy two tone and Dan first met while pledging their fraternity at USC. They have remained extremely close friends ever since those college days. These two have stories, jokes, memories and adventures that are hysterical and great. If you ever need to be put in a better mood, or need a laugh, Tommy is your guy. He has a magnetizing way and charisma that lights up an entire room. Tommy is equally kind, generous, fun, smart, and overall just an incredible person to be around. Recently, Tommy got married to his love, Alicia, and Dan performed the duties of a groomsman at his wedding. Dan is beyond thankful to have Tommy in his life, but would like to warn everyone to never bet against him on the golf course. He’s quite the surgeon out there.
