We're getting married !

Justin and Libby’s love story began when Justin came across Libby’s Instagram account due to having mutual connections. He saw that she lived nearby where he does Spring Training in Mesa, AZ and saw from her posts that she was beautiful, independent, loved adventure and fun. Though usually reserved and timid, he felt compelled to send her a message to see if she would respond…..as they say, the rest is history. Libby is originally from Avon, Connecticut where she played Lacrosse and soccer, eventually playing lacrosse in college. She graduated from Arizona state university with a bachelors degree in communications. She also had three younger brothers who were competitive wrestlers at the national level and football stars. Little did she know that being an athlete herself as well as being the big sister who took her brothers to practice, making sure they had all of their equipment, cheering them on from the sidelines, that she was being prepared for the future. Fast forward to February of 2020 when she got a message from a country boy named Justin from Lucedale, MS. Justin was drafted out of High School in 2014 by the Chicago Cubs forgoing his commitment to attend the University of Southern MS on a baseball scholarship. For months the two exchanged messages getting to know one another which laid a wonderful foundation for when they would finally meet face to face May 2021. It quickly became clear that the old saying of “Opposites Attract” was true and that they were meant for one another and they wanted to spend as much time together as they could. Justin’s demanding schedule made it difficult so Libby, who at the time was on the verge of opening a construction business in AZ, put her plans on hold. As Libby and Justin embraced their differences, they discovered that their contrasting personalities complemented each other perfectly. Libby's outgoing and vivacious nature brought energy and excitement to their relationship, while Justin's quiet and patient demeanor provided a sense of calm and stability.

When the baseball season ended that Fall, Justin asked Libby to spend the offseason with him in MS. Her adventurous spirit and love for Justin resulted in her saying yes! Their love story blossomed with each passing day, as they embarked on adventures together, shared laughter, and supported one another through life's ups and downs. Libby was always amazed by Justin's unwavering patience and poise, especially during challenging times. His calming presence gave her a sense of security and reassurance that she had found her soulmate. Their journey wasn't the most traditional, but their love proved to be unbreakable. There was obstacles and they overcame them, learning and growing together as a couple. The offseason came and went along with Spring Training and it was back to Chicago for the season. And then on a chilly afternoon with the Chicago skyline as the backdrop, Justin got down on one knee and proposed to Libby. Baseball season is hectic and demanding but time slowed down in July of 2022, on Justin’s birthday when they welcomed their son, Beau, into their lives. Becoming parents strengthened their bond even further, as they navigated the joys and responsibilities of raising a child together. Now, as they look forward to January 6th, 2024, Libby and Justin can't contain their excitement. It will be a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories as they gather with their loved ones to celebrate their journey. They are grateful for the support and love they have received throughout their relationship, and they can't wait to share their joy with everyone who has been a part of their lives. As their love story continues to unfold, Libby and Justin are grateful for the unique blend of New England roots and southern charm that brought them together. They have found solace in their differences, knowing that their love transcends any boundaries. With their unwavering commitment, they are ready to embrace the future, hand in hand, knowing that their love will only grow stronger with time.
