It's difficult to give a "how we met story" when we have always known each other. However, there were many moments during our final year of high school that drew us closer together. Whether that be "mixing it up" on Monday's in the cafeteria (if you know, you know), or Taylor crashing a Halloween party on a whim wearing a triple XL spider man costume. We grew to become very close friends, and then the infamous Bonita Springs, FL trip came along. On this trip, our friends were anything but subtle about trying to give us alone time. This included: running away from us on the beach, getting up and quickly walking inside when we were sitting on the patio, and dimming the patio lights while proceeding to put on Marvin Gaye. We owe much of the start of our beautiful relationship to these wonderful wing men and women. We began dating shortly after that amazing trip and have been growing together ever since. We feel truly blessed to have gotten to spend arguably the most formative years of our lives together. In addition, we could not have gotten where we are today without the support and love from our closest family and friends who will no doubt continue to support us throughout our marriage. To them, a million thank you's would not be enough. We couldn't be more thankful that God placed us in those right places at the right times. We are so excited to continue serving the Lord and serving one another for the rest of our lives.
It is the Staufferlogen inaugural Memorial Day weekend trip, surely he wouldn't propose THIS weekend, right?! WRONG. At the most gorgeous cabin in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina is where our forever began. Katie was not only surprised with the proposal BUT was also surprised by her family members, who drove down to be a part of the celebration. It was the most special day! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Bluffton!
