The resort is 17 miles or approximately 30 minutes from the airport.

How is the beach?

Answer

The beach is on the Pacific Coast so it tends to be rocky. It is highly recommended to bring water shoes. There is said to be a more sandy section of the beach about a 5 minute walk from the resort. However, the water is perfect for surfing if you are interested in trying and the resort offers beginning lessons!

What activities are available for children?

Kids and teens can have their own Puerto Vallarta adventure. Explorer’s Club For Kids ages 3-12 open daily from 9 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. offering: Arts and crafts Computers with Internet access Video games Movie nights Sandcastle competitions Weekly campout adventures Storytelling and music Indoor game room Movie zone Core Zone Teens Club for ages 13-17 open daily from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. offering: Arts and crafts Computers with Internet access Video games Mini disco Movie nights Sandcastle competitions Weekly campout adventures Storytelling and music Note: All Explorer’s Club staff members are certified by the Red Cross in CPR for children. Children must be fully potty-trained for admittance into the Explorer’s Club. Entertainment programming changes throughout the year and often without notice. The use of drones or artifacts that fly or float in or on the premises of our resort is strictly forbidden. There is also a kids only section of the pool and the brand new waterpark should be complete by the time of the wedding - includes a pirate ship within a heated pool and a shallow splash zone, three waterslides and giant splash bucket.
