We met at a party on 8/24/2006 where Elvernie asked me to stay in touch with him. We talked to one another off and on over the years, got to know each other and started spending time together. When the timing was right on both sides, we started dating and have been a steady, committed and loving couple. We always managed to find our way back to one another, nothing could keep us apart. Our love has grown stronger and stronger over the years and now we are ready to move to the next phase of our lives together as one. We have truly found our soulmate.

On December 25, 2021, Elvernie gave me the biggest and happiest surprise of my life! He proposed! The day was filled with normal Christmas preparations, cooking, family, gifts, etc. El set the mood by creating a "marriage proposal cd" that was playing as he had me sitting in a chair filled with balloons in the front of the room while opening cards that he numbered 1 thru 3. As I read each card, the songs changed, I finally looked up and noticed that my entire family was standing around and staring at me open the cards. The cards expressed his love for me, then I got to the 3rd card where the front of the card said "On Your Engagement". I could not believe what I read so I had to read it again. By then he had walked in front of me and dropped down on his knee while pulling out the most beautiful ring and said "I was wondering if you would marry me?" I was so excited and totally caught by surprise, I replied "Yessss!" It was one of the best days of our lives!
