How We Met

01.2020

While working for USPS, Chauncee began delivering to Stacy’s work, a residential leasing office in Fairfax. Along with many other vendors, Chauncee was notorious for taking the freshly baked cookies displayed for customers. One morning in January, Chauncee reached for the cookies and Stacy shouted from across the room, “please just take one”. For Chauncee, it was love at first sight. For Stacy, it was a challenge to defend the cookies. Day after day, Chauncee visited the office with an upbeat and bubbly personality. Chauncee’s visits quickly became a highlight in the day for Stacy. After a few weeks, Chauncee was not only allowed to have as many cookies as he wanted, but Stacy would also bake cookies fresh for his arrival. Chauncee and Stacy became good friends before they began to date in October of 2020. It was later discovered that Stacy’s office was never assigned to Chauncee’s route by USPS and that he volunteered to deliver the mail there daily.
