Our love story begins at Eric and Katie Goldstein's wedding where Stacey and Brett's parents met for the first time (Stacey and Brett were not in attendance). Nancy, Mark, Ellen and Scott were seated at the same table and began talking about their kids. The Shapiro's had a daughter, Stacey and the Levithan's had a son, Brett both single, around the same age with similar interests. So obviouslyyyy they wanted to play matchmakers! When Stacey first heard about Brett, the online stalking began right away and she saw a cute profile picture on Facebook. Brett, on the other hand, didn't even bother to ask for Stacey's name as the idea of being setup by his parents was not in the cards. It ended at nothing, for now... Flash forward a couple of weeks, Stacey and Brett got randomly matched on the dating app, Bumble. Brett, still having no idea who Stacey was at the time, was excited to just be matched with such a pretty girl! Stacey was also thrilled and from her previous picture stalking endeavors, knew Brett was the same guy her parents had tried to set her up with a couple weeks ago. Per Bumble's rules, Stacey had to send the first message. Stacey went right for it and told Brett about the whole wedding backstory and how our parents already knew each other and suggested that we meet. At that point it seemed like fate! Stacey and Brett had their first date at Manayunk Brewing Company where they shared a flight of beer and hours of conversation and the rest is history! Brett proposed on the beach in Avalon, a place that is very special to the couple. We can't wait to celebrate on 6/4/22!!!
