Our first date!
Taylor and Spenser's old stomping grounds. For our friends and family that have not had the pleasure of seeing the campus, we highly recommend a quick walk around the lawn and Rotunda area- where we got engaged! We do recommend doing this during the day, as you may catch the occasional streaker out on the lawn (UVA tradition) at night.
The Corner is the main off campus student area that runs along the northeast side of campus. There are a plethora of bars and restaurants to choose from for dinner or a casual drink. Our favorites include The Virginian, Boylan Heights, and The Biltmore.
The premiere bagel place in town. There are 3 locations in Charlottesville! Grab a bagel or breakfast sandwich from The Corner Location on University Ave and take a walk around the University of Virginia's Campus.
The Dairy Market is relatively new to Charlottesville, it popped up during our last year living there. It's a great food court with a range of food options along with a few different bars. The Moo Thru ice cream is a favorite of ours.
The downtown mall is a great walkable spot with lots of patio restaurants. Honestly, we have not had a bad experience at any restaurant in this area, but some of our favorites include Jack Browns, The Whiskey Jar, Miller's (Dave Matthews lovers should check this out), and Zocalo.
Bold Rock is a local cidery in the foothills of the mountains. It is a little way out of town (30 minutes), but the views and cider are worth the drive out if you have some free time.
Eastwood is a quick drive from Charlottesville. We discovered this during our wedding venue tours. They have some great wine and wine slushies! Great for keeping cool during the hot Virginia summer.
