What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our special day is black tie-optional. Think of black-tie-optional guest attire as a fusion between black-tie and formal fashion. For men, we ask that you wear a tux or suit. For women, we ask that you wear floor length or midi dresses. The theme is garden party, so dress in your favorite garden party motifs!

Are Children allowed at your wedding?

Answer

We love and cherish your children, but due to space restrictions, we cannot host any children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Our special day is an intimate one, featured in a cozy venue. Invites are addressed to those we cannot imagine our special day without. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one. We appreciate your understanding!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We ask that you do not take photos during the ceremony. We want everyone to be as present as we are when honoring this moment. Our photographer will get amazing photos, and we will share them with all of you! Please do not use your cellphone or digital cameras for photos during the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding!

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Our wedding will start promptly at 6 PM ET. We ask guests to arrive no later than 5:30 PM ET to ensure you have a seat and are ready to share in our most special moments.

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP online! In the formal invitation, you will find a QR that allows you to do so.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at Cedric's Garden at the Biltmore Estate, located at 1 Lodge St, Asheville, NC 28803. Cedric's Garden is connected to Cedric's Tavern, and can be accessed through a green garden gate!

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

Cedric's Garden is within the monitored gates of The Biltmore Estate. Our recommendation is to stay at the closet accommodation, The Village Hotel, just several steps from the venue! If you are staying off property, you will be responsible for transportation in and out of The Biltmore Estate grounds. We recommend you schedule an Uber drop-off or pick-up prior to the event to ensure you have a ride.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! There is a free parking lot with a short walk to Cedric's Garden. If you are staying off property and not drinking during the event, please feel free to choose this option.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

There are not room blocks, however, on the travel tab of our website, you will find a link to book your accommodations at either The Village Hotel (closest to the venue) or The Inn on Biltmore Estate. Both links include a built-in event discount code, so make sure to book through our website for added savings!

Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotel?

Answer

As Cedric's Garden is just a short 3 minute walk from The Village Hotel, there will not be a shuttle system for the event. If you choose to stay at The Inn on Biltmore Estate, a 21-minute walk, or off property, you will be responsible for your own transportation.

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

In Asheville, North Carolina, the weather in mid-May is typically mild to hot, with temperatures ranging from the 40s to 70s Fahrenheit (5–25°C). By the end of May, temperatures can reach close to 80°F. As our event is mid-May, we expect temperatures in the day to be in the mid-70s.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding is outdoors, but is fully covered by a tent, so rain or shine the event will proceed!

Will there be allergen-friendly meal options?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding will be a nut-free event. We have several family members with peanut allergies, so please do not bring any nut-related items on-site during our special day.
