Our Love Story

Back in the early 2000's Spencer and Arielle met through MySpace and texted briefly during the era that he still shared a cell phone with his sister Amanda. They wouldn't reconnect till years later. On a Summer night in 2014, Spencer and some mutual friends had stopped by Arielle's house after the Caledonia Fair. They chatted as a group and Spencer and friends left for the night. Upon his departure Arielle mentioned to her friend Deanna "that Spencer kid is really funny". The next day, they were both attending a wine tour, Arielle was one of the last to arrive and found a seat right across from Spencer. They chatted the whole ride and when they were off the bus Spencer followed her everywhere (she loved every second of it). After the wine tour, a group of their friends headed to the Caledonia fair. Neither Spencer or Arielle had cash and they walked together to the nearest ATM to discover it was out of cash. They continued their walk to a park and swung on the swings together. They stayed up into the early hours of the morning talking then went their separate ways. They began texting, calling and hanging out every day afterwards. It happened so fast, they celebrate the day of the wine tour as our dating anniversary.

On Arielle's 31st birthday the two had both taken the day off. They planned on getting couples massages and then attending the Lilac Festival for the day. They agreed they should start their morning with a hike at McKay Nature Trail with Schroeder. The two have loved McKay Nature Trail through every season throughout the years. When they came upon Mushroom Rock and Spencer suggested they climb on top. The sunlight had just begun peaking through the trees, they shared a kiss and Spencer asked Arielle if she would be his wife and dropped to one knee. At the end of the trail their family was waiting for them to share in our celebration.
