Wedding Party

Some People: "That's A LOT of people in your wedding party!" Amanda and Jake: "We have a lot of friends we love and keep close. Sorry, not sorry." Fun Fact: Jake refused to create a MySpace account in the early 2000's because he would not limit himself to a "top 8."

Alexandrea Palomino

Maid of Honor

Choosing Alex to be my Maid of Honor was a no-brainer... if I didn't, I'd have it comin'! This not-so-invisible middle child has more stories on me than anyone I know - mostly the embarrassing kind. Our colorful childhood is the perfect backdrop to our relationship. It's full of road trips, homemade music videos, and broken bones (sorry Alex). But being my sister doesn't automatically win you a seat at the MOH table. Alex is protective, fierce, and loyal. When our family goes through ups and downs, she's by my side in the thick of it, holding down the fort. As a pillar in my life, it would only make sense to have her stand with me on my wedding day, as my MOH.

Tim Suhajda

Best Man

The Wizard of Wit The OG Son of a Boy Dad BMT (Best Man Tim) Tim and Jake first met in a hospital room in 1990. Since then, the 90's have commonly been referred to as The Golden Decade, and one DEFINITELY has to do with the other. They rocked matching pagers in middle school, consistently got in trouble for breaking windows (schools, via baseballs, and cars, via pellet guns), and conquered the Lutheran School League Together. Tim has never not been at Jake's side, and June 18 would be no different.

Nicole Palomino

Maid of Honor

Make way for our family's first engineer graduate! MOH#2 Amanda is so proud of her little big sister. Nicole is fourth in line when it comes to birth order, but first place if rating funniest Palomino sibling. Countless times Amanda has found herself at a fork in the road, and Nicole has been there to help make the right decisions feel easier to choose. She's called the little big sister because she sets an example for all to be more self-disciplined and true to themselves. Amanda's sisters are her best friends, and she is honored to have them stand with her. She knows how lucky she is. <3

Devin Zajac

Man of Honor

The willy Wonka of the wilderness The dune-buggy din-da-da The outdoors overlord Devin and Jake's first interaction was in a playground fistfight during recess. (Jake has declined comment on who won this fight.) Since then, their friendship improved significantly. (If it hadn't, it would be an awkward choice for a groomsman.) In fact, so much so that they became roommates in their 20's, a time they both look back on fondly. Jake wishes everyone had a friend like Devin – loyal to the core, selfless, and an unrelenting corner man, Devin's always brought out the best in Jake.

BMT was not happy. Years later, Johnny followed Jake to the South Side and they still golf together. Check out Jake's sandwich, The Preacher, at Johnny's "Cafe Margo" in Chicago
