Parker and Sarah met in Wilmington, NC just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Conveniently, their two yellow labs Cedar and Annie, were able to continue to have play dates despite the lockdowns. As was the case with many new couples, there were many take-out meals shared together and movies watched for the first year of their relationship. When the world reopened, their travel and adventures ensued. Many new cities, restaurants, and activities were experienced, one of the favorites was coffee and morning walks in Central Park.
Three years later, in June 2023, Sarah visited Parker at the tail end of a business trip in New York City. Just before dinner at their favorite restaurant in the city, Parker proposed while walking through Central Park. Like most things with Sarah and Parker, they spontaneously drove to Lynchburg, VA a month later for a dinner with both immediate families. At dinner, the two made a toast in which they surprised the family by telling them that the next morning they would be at the grandparents’ house to pick them up as they needed two official witnesses for a courthouse wedding ceremony. Luckily, the grandparents agreed! The next morning, on July 28th, Parker and Sarah were married in front of their immediate family and their two incredible grandparents.
