Ryan and Taylor grew up together in Grand Island, NY and went to middle and high school together. In the 7th grade their romance began when Ryan passed an index card to Taylor with his number on it... (she still has it!) Although their middle school relationship didn't exactly last, they remained friends and rekindled their relationship during their senior year. Ryan asked Taylor to the winter ball, and they went to their senior prom as an official couple! Taylor and Ryan attended different colleges and maintained a long distance relationship for 5 years, of course visiting each other nearly every other weekend! Taylor graduated from Hobart and William Smith with her Master's in Teaching and returned to Buffalo, where Ryan was finishing up his Pharm. D. at D'Youville School of Pharmacy. They both began their careers in their hometown, but recently relocated to Greenville, North Carolina where Ryan is a pharmacy manager and Taylor is a first grade teacher! They are so excited to start their new journey as husband and wife!

In July of 2019, Taylor and Ryan went on vacation to Greece. It was a place they had always dreamed of going in their 7 years together. They started their trip in Athens, and then went on to Mykonos. Little did Taylor know, this would be the place that he would pop the question! The day of the proposal, Ryan took Taylor around the little town of Mykonos. They shopped, saw the windmills, and had lunch by the water. That night, Ryan had a special dinner planned. They went to a restaurant in Mykonos called Karavaki, and had a private table overlooking the ocean. Ryan had created a book of their love story, and shared it with Taylor after dinner. When the sun set, he got down on one knee and asked Taylor to marry him (FINALLY!) Now another little island would be a part of their story forever!
