It was truly love at first sight, or as close as one can get in the digital age. We matched on Hinge on a Monday and had dinner plans for that Friday. I was too nervous to walk into the restaurant alone so Owen waited outside for me in the February chill. He wrapped me in a huge hug and I knew I was home. Dinner was a blur, we were so enthralled with each other’s company, only pausing the conversation to drink and prevent the inevitable sore throat. And we all know I love to talk. Before the check came, we had already made plans to see each other the next day. -S
What can I say, I love to drag out a good time. Soph could smell the engagement a mile away so I had to hide it at the end of a long road trip with lots of fake outs. After 4 scenic locations, 1 boat ride, 7 hours of driving, a box of doughnuts, and several wardrobe malfunctions, my convoluted scheme came to fruition. The proposal left both of us in tears and excited to plan the rest of our lives together. -O
