We love this spot! This fun indoor mini golf spot has 4 interactive 9-hole courses and is right across the street from the hotel.
Every Saturday from 8 am - 12:30 pm. Local makers, food, and farmers!
This isn't your typical candy store...peruse their impressive collections of local tchotchkes, including one on local celebrity and billionaire Warren Buffet (look for the Warren Buffet rubber ducky...next to the Bill Gates rubber ducky! hehe), or check out their neat pinball game collection, vinyl collection, and fully-functioning, old-timey diner.
There's a number of great local breweries, and this one's our favorite in the area. There's a great ongoing deal: Buy 1 pint, get 1 for a penny. Sign up for the Penny Pack deal from the link (View) below. Then stop by the nearby Visitors' Center for a free souvenir flight glass :)
We need to caveat this recommendation with the confession that this isn't our favorite local ice cream (it's Coneflower Creamery, no competition). But, Ted & Wally's has been a local institution since 1987, there's always a line in the summer, AND nowhere else have we ever seen, heard of, or had the chance to try 20% butterfat ice cream. O_O
This is a neat little museum housed inside a converted railroad station, with lovely exhibits on local history, as well as old railcars you can walk through and a temporary lego exhibit.
Take a walk down memory lane with EVERY POSSIBLE TOY THAT HAS EVER EXISTED all in one place. This store has a truly impressive vintage toy collection.
Newly completed in 2022, the park has lovely lounging areas, water features, sculptures, playgrounds, and some nice views of the downtown.
This beautiful new park borders the riverfront and just opened up!
Alton Brown calls their Croque Garcon his favorite hamburger in the country, with the perfect meat-to-bun ratio.
Here's a map of even more places we love in the wider Omaha area.
