In July of 2018 Sophia and Trevor were introduced by their mutual friend Rebekah. Over the next two years they became fast friends over their shared love of Dungeons & Dragons, which they played every week together with friends, and other board games and video games. Equally competitive, they loved trying to one-up each other and win every game they played. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Sophia was living in Philadelphia finishing her PhD and Trevor had just moved to Seattle. Isolated on opposite ends of the country, they started spending innumerable hours online together, watching movies, playing games, and talking about anything and everything. In July of 2020 they finally admitted they were maybe a bit more than friends and started dating. When Sophia finished her PhD in February of 2021 she moved to Seattle with her dog Obi, who quickly decided Trevor was his new favorite human and Sophia was old news. They've been living in the pacific northwest together for the past year and a half making friends and having adventures. On May 20th, 2022, Trevor asked Sophia to join him on the adventure of a lifetime, and she said yes.
