Mall of America®
Mall of America is conveniently attached to the Raddison Blu - you do not even have to step outside! It's a challenge to see all that this mall has to offer in one day, so we have some suggestions of our favorite things to do below: Nickelodeon Universe: Yes, there is an amusement inside of the mall! Sophia's favorite ride is Pepsi Orange Streak and Riley's is SpongeBob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge. The Fair on 4: Fair food, go-karts, and axe-throwing... what's not to love?! Moose Mountain Adventure Golf and Rock of Ages Blacklight Mini Golf: The only time Sophia actually wins against Riley at golfing. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. : A family favorite of both the Wern's and Gross'. Enjoy their "Run Forest Run" service.
Minnehaha Falls
A favorite outdoor spot of ours. We had one of our first dates here in the summer, a Valentine's date in the winter, and even took a large portion of our engagement photos here. The view of the 50 feet high waterfall and the Mississippi River are lovely. They have many picnic areas, as well as the Sea Salt Eatery filled with delicious seafood options.
Paisley Park
Stop by for a tour at Prince's estate and production complex. You'll get to see Prince's personal archives, including iconic concert wardrobe, awards, musical instruments, artwork, motorcycles, rare music and video recordings.
Target Field
Catch a Twins game in this beautiful outdoor stadium! There's a home game on Saturday 7/22 at 6:15pm and one on Sunday 7/23 at 1:10pm.
Target Center
Unfortunately, you won't be able to see a Minnesota Timberwolves game (a Riley and Sophia favorite date spot) during this time, but you can support the WNBA and catch a Lynx game! There's a home game on Thursday 7/20 at 7:00pm and one on Saturday 7/22 at 7:00pm.
Walker Art Center
Enjoy a wonderful outdoor summer July day by walking around the Walker Art Center!
Minneapolis Aquatennial
The Minneapolis Aquatennial is the official civic celebration of the City of Minneapolis. Minnesota residents, workers and visitors have come to love and appreciate all that Minneapolis has to offer during the Aquatennial. Enjoy live music, craft markets, and a firework show!
