We met the way most millennials meet... on a dating app. Our first in-person date in January 2021 was walking along the jetty in Plymouth, MA, and the rest is history <3 One of our favorite things we did during our first year together was travel and go on mini weekend adventures. We visited the witches in Salem (MA), spent Sophia's birthday in Ogunquit (ME), went zip-lining near Lake Winnipesaukee (NH), and explored the fabulously queer Provincetown (MA). Our favorite adventure, though, was the week-long vacation we spent at Disney World in the summer of 2022! Less fun was having COVID-19 as soon as we returned... Our first year also saw Sophia starting medical school in NY, thus creating a long-distance relationship. Nevertheless, we persisted! Absence makes the heart grow fonder (so they say). In fact, our love grew so much that we welcomed 2 new kitties into our family! Twins Milo and Luna joined our precious Nala, and our home has never been dull since then. After over a year of dating, on March 20, 2022 we revisited Plymouth. Attempting to re-create our first date, we walked along the jetty and at the end, Kayli pulled out a ring and popped the question! Obviously, Sophia said yes, and they celebrated at the most delicious Brazilian steakhouse afterwards. Of course, Sophia needed to have her big moment too. Later that summer, Sophia told Kayli they were going to 'go out for drinks with a friend after work.' Kayli was asked to arrive at Nahant beach at 5:30pm. Kayli didn't know it, but Sophia had actually set up a beach picnic with pillows, a charcuterie board, and sparkling cider. After having a little slow dance to their song, Sophia got down on one knee and presented her ring to Kayli! Now happily engaged, Kayli + the kitties moved to NYC to be with Sophia while she finishes school. Now we get ready for our next big adventure - marriage!
