So, we slightly chose where we would get engaged and picked out a ring half a year before it actually happened! Going back, this was our first trip to Orlando. We had mentioned rings a few times but had never went in stores and looked at any. I remember walking around Disney Springs, and Brandon asked to go look at rings. We ended up choosing the design of mine currently, yet saved the idea for months to come. I remember we were so focused on the idea of getting married, that we kept making jokes that there was already a ring and that it was happening on this trip. I remember as we crossed this bridge, I jokingly said, “I’m looking around for our photographer now.” As if Brandon was about to kneel down and propose. Fast forward to May, we are back in Orlando. We had discussed becoming engaged and were both set on it happening soon. I knew that he was my forever. However, I wasn’t sure exactly when the big moment would happen. We walked around Downtown Disney, and I just had a feeling that it was happening at some point this night. As we walked down our previous path, this time with one of my best friends, Jaiden, and Brandon’s parents, Chris and Kathy, I remember seeing that same bridge. I remember the smile that came across my face and the feeling that I had. I knew that this was our moment. The same thought I had months prior, from jokingly looking for our photographer suddenly became real. I looked up to see our lovely photographer, Rick Grainger, and next thing I know Brandon is down on one knee! We were surrounded by our closest loved ones, and then I looked up to see my mom had also flew down to surprise us from home. This seriously could not have been any more perfect, and we are so thankful for everyone involved. Here’s to May 19th!
