Kyle's Version

Summer Lovin'

After high-school I worked at Marathon Cheese during the summer and winter breaks of college. The second summer I worked there, I started on first shift. During orientation for the job, I noticed a young cute girl that I had never seen before. Everyone started talking and I found out that she was going to be on first shift with myself and some of my other friends. Shortly after orientation, we started the job. Several days in, this "cute girl" that I met at orientation, was wearing glasses. I simply said to her, "I like your glasses." Her response to me was "fuck off." I did not know what I had said, or done at that point. Using my investigative skills, I found out the girls name and I added her on Facebook. My name on Facebook at the time was Kyles Chilling. Eventually she added me as a friend and we started talking. I kept asking her to hang out and she always had some excuse on why she couldn't. We started playing softball after work once a week. Eventually she invited me up to her house for a fire on a friday night. We had a great time. I asked her to the county fair, she said yes. She was always watching me close and giving me the look at the fair. Eventually we started holding hands at the fair. After the fair, on my way home, I just sent her a text saying "so would you consider us official?" She said, "I guess." Ever since then, we've been writing new chapters for our book.

Hailey's Version

Through the looking glass...

It was my first summer after high school, and I had gotten a job at Marathon Cheese. A few weeks in I found out that my boyfriend at the time had cheated on me, so naturally we broke up. So the day after finding this out and breaking up, I had to wear my glasses to work because I wasn't able to get my contacts in my puffy eyes. After the first break of the day, I was walking back to my line (Line 64) when I was approached by this young man (Kyle). He said, "Hi, you look very nice in your glasses." Me, not wanting to hear this at ALL said, "Go to Hell," then walked away. So I went throughout my day not thinking much about it. Either that same day or a few days later, I received a FaceBook friend request from someone named KyleS Chilling. I thought to myself, "Who the Hell is this?!?" The next day at work the same guy approached me and said, "Hey, are you going to accept my friend request?" Me being in a MUCH better mood says, "Oh, you are KyleS Chilling??" So that night I accepted the friend request, and we began talking. He kept asking me to hang out sometime. Finally, one day I gave in and I asked him if he wanted to have a fire with some of my friends. He said, "Yeah, sure!" So he came Friday night, and we had a good time. As he was leaving, Kyle gave me an awkward hug. In July, Kyle asked me if I would like the go to the Taylor County fair with him. I said sure. When we arrived, he made me PAY for my own way in! Seriously?!? We had a great time! When I left to go home I received a text asking, "So would you consider us official?" It's been history since!
