How we met

Brandon and I met in the 6th grade at Benold middle school! We had at least one class together every year until we were seniors in high school. Although we didn't officially date growing up, we always had an eye on one another. We went our separate ways for college, he went to West Virginia to play baseball and I went to Texas A&M. Brandon came home to finish his senior year at St. Edwards in Austin, then was drafted to the Miami Marlins. After an elbow injury Brandon came back home to start his job at Dell computers and at that time I had graduated from Texas A&M and was starting my nursing degree in Austin at Texas Tech University. Brandon found his opening and started asking me to go to the movies and work out with him if I ever had a break from school. I took my old friend up on that offer and quickly remembered my infatuation for Brandon. Letting myself fall in love with a boy from Georgetown was definitly not easy for me but Brandon was very persistent ;) I had already planned a trip to Uganda, Africa for two weeks during a break in nursing school and before I left Brandon told me I was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and for me to take my time alone in Africa to decide if he was the one for me. After two weeks of medical missionary work in the most amazing place. I came home to Brandon waiting for me at the airport with my parents and I knew right then he was the man I will spend the rest of my life with.

The Proposal

After 3 long 12 hour shifts in a row, Brandon woke me up at the crack of dawn with Starbucks breakfast and coffee and told me to pack my bags that we were going on vacation. After questioning him for 20 minutes, I packed my bags and he said we were going to San Diego! He had the whole trip planned for us. We went to a Padres game and stayed at an awesome hotel downtown. The following two days we stayed at a resort on the bay. That night he told me we were going to the nicest restaurant we had ever been to right on the beach, and to wear something nice. As I'm tearing everything out of my suitcase I turned around and he had three new dresses laid out on the bed for me to pick from (with help from my mom :). After getting ready we took an uber down to the "restaurant." We arrived at Windansea Beach and he led me down to the water. I was looking around and questioning him that there was not a restaurant in site. Another 10 yards later he got down on one knee! He even had hidden photographers who captured it all! I love this man and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
