The Beltline stretches to different parts of Atlanta and is the best place to go for a walk, rent bikes, find a cute coffee shop, brewery hop or grab a bite to eat! Start at Ponce City Market (vibrant converted historic Sears building, now a market with a food hall & shops) or Piedmont Park if you want to explore Midtown. Checkout Lady Bird, Park Tavern or New Realm Brewing Co. if you're into day drinking!
First time in ATL and looking to play tourist a bit? The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world housing more than 100,000 sea creatures. While you're downtown, make sure to stop by Centennial Olympic Park (made for the 1996 Summer Olympics). Other spots near there: SkyView Atlanta Ferris wheel, College Football Hall of Fame, World of Coca-Cola, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.
Looking for a local place to go on a nice walk? Enjoy the ~3-mile loop around Chastain Park golf course, tennis courts, and NYO baseball fields! Fun fact: This is where Smith grew up and she spent many hours at NYO watching her brothers play baseball and football, playing tennis in Chastain, and hanging out here with friends. Pro tip: Make dinner reservations at the THE CHASTAIN. A neighborhood favorite!
A fun upscale Tapas restaurant with an awesome rooftop patio for cocktails or dinner! It's on the second floor of Buckhead Village with other restaurants and shops to explore. Reservations recommended.

A fun, upscale place to grab a drink before or after dinner in Buckhead.
If you're looking to venture out to Virginia Highlands (one of the cutest neighborhoods in ATL, close to Midtown & Piedmont Park), Murphy's Restaurant is an Atlanta classic with upscale Southern comfort food. Make sure to leave time to walk around the charming streets & maybe even pop in for a drink at the Dark Horse before or after. They have brunch too! Reservations recommended.
A Childs family classic and a great local & casual spot to grab a quick beer and slice of pizza in Buckhead!
Looking for a fun and delicious brunch the morning of our wedding but don't want to venture too far away? Look no further than Buttermilk Kitchen in Buckhead. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the biscuits and gravy are my personal fav. Reservations are a must - it books up fast and far in advance.
