We actually met on the dating app “Hinge.” We started talking for approximately two weeks through the app before we met in person. Our first date was at Ross House, a local coffee shop in Auburn, on a Wednesday. We decided to go to church together on the following Sunday…that didn’t happen. We went to the movies on Friday, then church Sunday, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

If you know Sloane at all, you know she is sneaky and does not like surprises. Wesley had planned an elaborate proposal filled with love and laughter, surrounded by our friends and family. Well, Sloane snooped and found out the whole plan. Wesley then found out that Sloane knew about the proposal and decided he wanted to surprise her anyway. One night after she got off of work, Sloane arrived at the house, and there were candles lit, roses all over the floor, a slideshow of all of our favorite pictures playing on the TV with romantic music in the background, and Wesley down on one knee in his tuxedo waiting. Of course this particular day Sloane was the charge nurse, worked 13 hours, volunteered to be on call, and was wearing a tee-shirt. Needless to say, it was perfect!
