Sarah Jane: "I say we met at a day party in Tuscaloosa our junior year of college, but Ryan will tell you we met much earlier at a bar in town our sophomore year. According to him, when he saw me for the first time he walked straight up to me, said "I just wanted to let you know you're the most beautiful girl in this bar" and left it at that, without introducing himself or anything further. Since then, he said he had his eye on me. A year later, once he recounted our initial interaction and introduced himself, I was very flattered that he'd remembered me after all that time. A few weeks later, when he asked me to go as his date to Fiji Island, I knew there was something special about this guy. How do you not say yes to a date with a guy like Ryan? The rest is history!"

Ryan: "SJ is as curious as they come, so when it came to proposing, I had to be stealthy. She knew it was coming, since she was the one who picked out the ring. But I—with a lot of help from her friends and family—had convinced her she was going to be waiting a while. We called it Operation Sunset because to get the perfect photos, we had to get her to my lake house in the window of 5 and 6 pm on November 6. And as you can see from the photos, the operation was a success! With her sister hiding in the bushes to take photos, I got down on one knee and asked SJ to marry me. Then, we went back to my parents' house where all of our friends and families were waiting to celebrate with us."
