We met on Spring Break 2018 in Bethany Beach. Caroline rode to the trip with Thomas and they started to get to know one another. The week was full of karaoke, games and much laughter which helped build a great friendship between Caroline and Thomas. Thomas asked Caroline to go on a date the following Sunday, and at first Caroline said no (it was Selection Sunday for March Madness!!) She finally agreed to go on the date, and that began the story of their relationship.

Caroline and Thomas had plans to explore Charlottesville, Virginia in Spring of 2021. It was their first trip together, and Thomas had planned a great weekend including the AirBnb and wineries to visit. Caroline had packed for many different scenarios as Thomas kept most of the plans a surprise. Friday, April 9th 2021 they started at Albermarle Ciderworks and enjoyed flights of cider. From there, they travelled the windy country roads to Wisdom Oak Winery. Thomas had a vineyard walkthrough planned, so they walked out together to the gorgeous oak tree past the vines. Once they got right under the tree, Thomas took Caroline's hands and asked her to be his wife!! She was so stunned and said "Yes" to a lifetime of happiness with her soulmate.
