Welcome!

A message from Sara and Ethan

Hello everyone! Welcome to our wedding website. Below you will find a story about us written by Samantha, Sara's maid of honor. Please enjoy her story about our relationship over the past 10 years. We are so grateful that each of you are a part of our story, and we can't wait to share this exciting day with you. Enjoy looking around the website!

Our Story

Written by Samantha, Maid of Honor

Sara and Ethan first met at the ripe old age of about 6 years old. To put it in perspective, our brother (who is now 15) was not born yet and I was a screaming 3 year old toddler. I’m sure you’ve all seen the iconic beach ball picture from second grade (I was 5 at this point), or heard one of their moms talk about how Ethan liked the blonde girl who came in with pigtails. Elementary school consisted of Ethan chasing Sara around at recess and Sara writing in her diary about her crush on him (which I most definitely never read, that would be an invasion of privacy). Moving on to the biggest day ever for my sister (besides the day I was born obviously), November 2, 2011 (now I’m 10). These two were constantly texting on their little flip phones and using far too many smiley faces (if you’ve ever seen their texts you know what I’m talking about). On this bright fall day almost exactly 10 years ago, Ethan finally decided to ask Sara out. This begins their winning streak, as I like to put it. Please ask them about their first date to the movies, specifically about how they got to and from the theatre (because I think it's hilarious their moms drove them). Shocking pretty much everyone, they continued this middle school relationship into high school. Now some of my all time favorite pictures of Sara and Ethan are their freshman year homecoming pictures (please go look on Sara’s instagram). Some highlights of high school were Ethan’s cheesy hoco proposals, Sara taking advantage of Ethan’s mad tutoring skills, and Ethan showing up to pretty much every one of Sara’s soccer games. My absolute favorite moment with them in high school was Sara’s sadie hawkins junior year hoco proposal to Ethan. She set up a scavenger hunt around a 3 mile trail, which I then had to sprint along in front of Ethan to make sure he did everything right and that Sara knew when he was coming to her (keep in mind that 14 year old me despised running and quit soccer because of it).

Our Story

continued

From here, they entered their senior year of high school as a power couple. Now a 15 year old freshman, I routinely was asked questions about if my sister “was still dating that guy”. It came time to apply to colleges, and while there was some concern they would have to part, in the end, they both decided on Georgia Tech. Now at this point, they really begin to shine. Phi Sig really became their base, as both of them befriended the whole frat pretty fast. Now we arrive at the really good stuff: their last year of college. Sara and Ethan began the whole marriage discussion a while back, but summer of 2020 was when it became real. Now I was 19, and I had the best time getting to be near Sara again. Fall semester is going smoothly, with the lovebirds intending to stay in Atlanta after graduation, when all of a sudden, Ethan is getting an amazing job offer. The only downside is they would have to move to New Jersey and then Romania, keeping them away for 2 years. The future became very real very fast, and when spring rolled around, both of them were busy as can be. It seemed to Sara (partially through the convincing from Andrea and I) that Ethan wouldn’t be proposing until after they graduated. Finally, we are near the end of their story, or rather another beginning, at Phi Sig Formal (of course). They both went down a day and a half early to enjoy Jacksonville. Taking Sara’s lovely camera, they went to a beautiful beach with driftwood to take pictures. Ethan told Sara to turn around for the next one, and then there he is, on one knee. As you can see in the pictures, Sara was overjoyed and Ethan seemed the happiest man on Earth. You may have noticed I mentioned my age a lot throughout this very long story. I did this to show that I have watched this relationship grow from elementary school crushes into soul mates, two people who make each other better in every way. Without Sara and Ethan, I wouldn’t be sure true love existed. But it does, and I see it in them every day.
