Aaron was scheduled to play the organ at Brittany's mom, Tara's upcoming wedding. Tara is one to never pass up an opportunity for saving, and offered a date with her beautiful daughter to Aaron for a discount. She was joking, and he was professional. Tara's wedding happened, and no date ever took place until years later. Brittany later joined New Christian Joy and their choir, and Aaron was the musician there. After years of singing together, in the fall of 2007, they decided to go out on a date to see if they were indeed compatible. After their 1st date, Brittany had a heart to heart with her roommate and decided, Aaron was the type of guy she could marry and claimed that 1 day they would walk down the aisle. Aaron realized that Brittany was the perfect woman for him, and wanted to make their relationship official. College life for Brittany officially changed and the two began to plan their future together. They danced, they lived, they explored, they studied, they played, and they fell deeper and deeper in love. The two of them realized they could conquer any obstacle set before them, and decided to take the next steps.

One winter evening, Aaron prepared a delicious meal for the two. They wined and dined, and afterwards decided they would work off some of those calories. How did they work out? (Get your mind out of the gutter...LOL) The pair enjoyed working out together privately using their Wii game system. Brittany was preparing her mind and stretching. She reached for the game box to place the disc in the gaming system, only to find a beautiful diamond ring inside much more shinier than the disc she originally searched for. She turned around to find Aaron down on one knee asking her to be his bride. She screamed, "YES! YES!" as the two embraced. Aaron knew Christmas season was her favorite time of the year and wanted to give her a gift she would never forget.

It was a stormy morning in Cozumel, Mexico. The wind was racing, rain pouring, lightening flashing, thunder roaring; but Brittany's mind was at peace as she quietly recited her vows preparing for their big moment. Aaron paced in a separate room, anxiously waiting for the rain to stop, and departure from the ship. Their wedding was set to be held at Hotel Cozumel and Resort , followed by continued celebration on Carnival Dream cruise ship. Their guests were patiently waiting, concerned the wedding would be cancelled. While Brittany continued to calmly smile knowing that the sun was going to shine if they hold out. After an hour, the storm stopped and the sun appeared. The rain cooled off the beach and made way for the beautiful couple. Sand between their toes, sun beaming on their faces, wind blowing through their hair; everyone made their way to the ceremony for an unforgettable occasion. The wedding and reception were amazing, hearts were filled, and love continued to bloom as the two became one.

Shortly after marriage, the Sims decided they wanted a child. A couple of weeks later, their mission was accomplished. They were expecting a baby boy on July 15. They were overwhelmed with joy! July 15th came and went, still no baby. Brittany walked and walked, but he wasn't ready. On July 17th, the couple was in their usual spot at church praising God. Towards the end of service, the contractions started. Unsure if this was the moment they waited for, they went to go to Golden Corral. Upon arrival, the final sign showed and they prepared to go to the hospital. Darryl stayed with A'kiya and Matthew as they prepared to eat. Not to be outdone and hungry, Aaron, Brittany, and Tara went to Wendy's for a quick meal on the way to the house to get "the bag" and then go to the hospital. Eating and contracting, what a sight to see. Hours passed, and at 7:15am on July 18, 2011, Brylan Jacob was born. July 18th, 2010 happened to be Aaron's 30th birthday. He received one of the greatest gifts, a son.
