Andrew and Natalie both started ballroom dancing in college. The night they met, Andrew walked up to Natalie, introduced himself and asked her to dance. Making one of the biggest mistakes of her life, Natalie said no (only because she thought she was going to embarrass herself since Andrew was a much better dancer). Luckily, Andrew was persistent and asked Natalie to be his dance partner less than a year later. She took this opportunity to right her previous wrong and graciously agreed. Andrew and Natalie became best friends, dance partners, and eventually fell in love.
Andrew and Natalie were working late Friday night to prepare for hosting Penn State's annual ballroom competition the following day. After spending all day and night finishing the last details, Andrew suggested they go for a midnight walk. Natalie had a suspicion something more might be happening, so she excitedly asked him if he was going to propose, and Andrew said yes! He explained that there were several meaningful locations around town he was considering, so they were going to walk through all of them and reminisce about the memories they had made over the years. Andrew proposed to Natalie at the Arboretum, one of their favorite places to spend evenings together, creating the best memory of all!
Andrew and Natalie got married on October 10, 2020 in front of their immediate families. The ceremony was in the Poconos in Eastern PA, and the Nashs and Simonsons got to spend several days celebrating the event. However, we're all looking forward to celebrating the marriage with the rest of our family and friends this year!!
