We love building legos and playing board games together (recent favorites are Wingspan and Bananagrams). We both play guitar, and we love spending time with our two cats- Sansa and Smores. We are currently watching Severance, and have also enjoyed Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Friends, and so many more shows and movies. Our favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan, and Mumford & Sons. We're always dreaming about our next visit to a theme park!

We are getting married at Parker's Landing, Simon's family farm. The ceremony and reception will both be held outdoors, so please wear attire suitable for walking on grass!

Mackenzie enjoys painting, reading, and playing guitar. Her favorite part of the day is playing the New York Times Games and absolutely demolishing Simon in the Mini Crossword. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and a certificate in Ethics from the University of Louisville.

Simon enjoys playing video games, kicking back with his friends, playing piano, and watching The Office. He eats spaghetti at least five times a week, a habit for which Mackenzie has affectionately named him "Spaghetti Simon." He got his Bachelors degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Louisville and now works for Brown-Forman (did someone say open bar??) in their HRIT department.

We were friends in high school, but we didn't start dating until college. We had English class together freshmen year and calculus together senior year. There was always a fun and flirty energy, but the timing was never quite right.

In December 2020, there was a trend on TikTok where people were reminiscing about people from their past as the roads not traveled, thinking about what could've been. Mackenzie posted a video naming "Simon from senior calc" as someone she always thought was pretty cute. On the other side of the city, Simon was scrolling through TikTok and saw a video made by a girl he went to high school with. Wanting to see what she was up to now, he went to her page and stumbled upon a video where she called him cute. He messaged her on Instagram (I know, I know, this fairy tale is straight out of the digital media era) and asked her on a COVID friendly date.

Simon picked Mackenzie up at her campus apartment and tried to take her ice skating, but the rink was closed. Instead, they sat at Greater's Ice Cream and talked about everything under the sun. Their hopes, what makes them cry, what their favorite colors are (both prefer orange). And they were pretty much inseparable from that point forward.

Simon planned an entire day of our favorite activities. Games, walks in the park, brunch, and an escape room. At the end of the escape room, when we broke into the safe, there was a ring inside of a box. He popped the question, I said yes, and the escape room attendant said we hugged for "like, a really long time."
