Things to do

The Wedding Website of Lindsay Simmons and Ryan Kramme
Minneapolis is a very special place to us, and we've compiled a list of a few of our favorite activities that we hope you can enjoy if you are visiting for our celebration!
Grab a pizza and beer at Surly

Grab a pizza and beer at Surly

520 Malcolm Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414

We love pizza and beer, so we used to ride the tandem here when we lived in Uptown. It's a fun spot to stay for a while, and it has a great (more COVID-safe) outdoor scene!

First Avenue

First Avenue

701 North 1st Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403
, (612) 338-8388

Go to a concert at First Avenue! One of our favorite things to do is go to concerts and we cannot wait to do this now that shows have officially started to be announced again! This is one of our favorite venues with quite a long history in the city (Prince used to play here frequently and test out his new stuff).

Take a morning walk or bike ride around Lake of the Isles (and stop by Isles Bun & Coffee)

Take a morning walk or bike ride around Lake of the Isles (and stop by Isles Bun & Coffee)

1424 W 28th St, Minneapolis, MN 55408

Lake of the Isles is one of our favorite lakes, and if you like cinnamon rolls you should probably make a pit stop at Isles Bun and Bakery too. We used to live near this area and spent a lot of time at the lake (and the bakery). The Minneapolis Chain of lakes includes Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet which you can easily get to from Lake of the Isles as well.

Northeast Minneapolis

Northeast Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN

Check out the distilleries, breweries, and/or bar scene in Northeast Minneapolis. There are a ton to explore! Some of our favorites are Tattersall Distillery, Norseman Distillery, Dangerous Man Brewing Company, and the Young Joni Back Bar.

Check out the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden or play mini golf on the roof at Walker Art Center

725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis, MN 55403

This 11 acre park is host to over 40 sculptures and has some of the best views of the City!

Minneapolis Institute of Art

Minneapolis Institute of Art

2400 3rd Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55404
, (612) 870-3000

If you are interested in some culture, Mia is a fantastic free encyclopedic museum that you should definitely explore. This is one of Lindsay's favorite museums in the area, and she completed two internships here when she was in graduate school.

Have a burger at Red Cow

Have a burger at Red Cow

3624 W 50th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55410

This is a Simmons family staple. Red Cow is a great neighborhood spot with delicious burgers, cheese curds, and a large, diverse beer list. Head over on Thursday around Happy Hour and you may even be able to grab a beer with Dick Simmons.

Chase waterfalls at Minnehaha Regional Park

Chase waterfalls at Minnehaha Regional Park

4801 South Minnehaha Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417

This a great place for a walk or snack! The restaurant in the park, Sea Salt, is known for some of the best seafood in Minneapolis.

Punch Bowl Social Minneapolis

Punch Bowl Social Minneapolis

1691 Park Place Boulevard, St. Louis Park, MN 55416
, (763) 400-3865

If you are staying at one of our wedding blocks, this is a fun place in walking distance that has activities, food, and drinks.

Have dinner at Colita
