It’s often referred to as the “crown jewel” of the Oregon State Parks system, and if you get the chance to visit here you will know why. The Silver Falls Start Park is actually the largest in Oregon, with 9,200 acres of spectacular waterfalls and trails to explore.
Mt. Angel’s rich history started in the mid-1800s when German-Catholic families and a group of Benedictine monks and sisters settled the area. Today, the town boasts Old World buildings, German-inspired cuisine and ornate churches.
