Where is Silver Falls state park? How far is it from the nearest airport?

Answer

Silver Falls State Park is located about 40 miles south of Portland and about 25 miles east of Salem. It takes about an hour to get there from PDX.

Why are you asking what accommodation I’m choosing on your invitation?

Answer

If you choose to stay at the ranch house (this is a free option) we want to know in advance so we can provide bedding!

How would camping in the meadow work?

Answer

You can camp anywhere in the meadow surrounding the ranch house free of charge! We have some camping gear we can provide if you let us know in advance! In the case that others have claimed to use this gear, REI has camping gear for rent at an affordable price!

I’m not into glamping or camping. Do I have to stay onsite?

Answer

No! We’d love for you all to experience the outdoors with us, but we understand not everyone is into camping/glamping. There are hotels nearby in Silverton or Salem that are about 20 mins out.

How should we get around?

Answer

I would recommend renting a car. You can even carpool!

What’s the weather like in May?

Answer

Typically it can be sunny and in the 60s/70s. However, this is the PNW, so weather can be unpredictable. Come prepared and bring layers!

What kind of clothes should I bring?

Answer

With it being spring, the weather here varies. I would bring options and bring layers! Definitely bring a raincoat just in case. I would also recommend to bring hiking shoes so you can explore some of the beautiful waterfalls!

What should I wear to the ceremony?

Answer

I would wear whatever is comfortable. We want you to look nice but also be able to enjoy the bonfire pit, yard games, and obviously be able to get down on the dance floor!
