Our story began in August 2020 after meeting on the dating app “Hinge.” Nicole was feeling pretty lost at the time, but Lucas was genuine, responsive, and convinced her to go on a date at Great Lakes Brewing Company. Nicole was very nervous, but as soon as Lucas arrived, she felt at ease in his presence. About an hour into the date, he went to the bathroom, and she texted her friend Carri “he’s cute and fun, ugh.” Over the next few weeks, there were more fun dates and moments where each realized the other was worth keeping around. It didn’t take long for us to realize this was love, and a lasting one at that. Since then, we’ve taken a few road trips, moved in together in Cleveland, got engaged, adopted our miniature poodle Charlie, and purchased our first house together! We’ve also managed to drink a few more beers since that first date. We see each other as our best friend, and can’t wait for a lifetime of adventures together.
