we're getting married!

Adriana and Michael met while working together at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago in 2012. After about 1 year of friendship, Adriana, believe it or not, made the first move and invited Michael out to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner with fellow co-workers. Michael initially gave the excuse that he had "so much laundry to do" on a Friday night, but succumbed to peer pressure by Adriana and one of her girlfriends. Michael texted Adriana to make sure she made it home after dinner...they went out on their first date (3 different spots in one night!) a few short weeks later. The rest is history...

Adriana was on-call for work and sitting on the couch binging You on Netflix all day. Hunger struck and she had Michael run out for takeout. After eating dinner together, Michael said he had a special treat for dessert and ran to the kitchen to prepare it. Adriana noticed he was taking unusually long and making a ton of racket with cabinets slamming and plates clinging. Finally, Michael told Adriana to close her eyes... and when she opened them she found Michael down on bended knee! Michael had a sweet speech prepared and, of course, Adriana said YES! The only sad part of the proposal for Adriana (who's a total foodie!) was that there was NO DESSERT! :( We're excited to share this next part of our adventure with you... with TONS of desserts!
