Ceremony will now be happening at True Salvage Cafe due to a pending rain storm on Saturday. Ceremony will start at 11:45am still. Silver and I met in Grand Central Terminal while working for Juice Press. While working together we started to bond over work stress. After hanging out and grabbing drinks a few times in the city, it was clear Silver was smitten, I was more concerned with not losing my job by dating a coworker. So I turned Silver down for awhile, but we obviously got along really well. After Silver planned my 33rd birthday, and filled a whole bar with friends and had everyone sing me Happy Birthday, I knew there was something different about him. Silvers heart and kindness was unlike anyone else I’d ever met, I knew I had to see where this was going. When I left Juice Press in the city to work with my dad at True Salvage I asked Silver to come work with me, we worked really well together, he was ready to try all my crazy ideas to make a business work and eventually he left the company in NYC as well and we started working together alone at the cafe. A lot of people thought we were nuts and couldn’t figure out how we dated and worked together, and didn’t want to kill each other. But we found working together and working to build a business only strengthened us and helped us build a relationship that neither of us had had before. After dating for 4 years, I started nagging about being engaged, and we bought a ring…finally!! For my 36th birthday I wanted Silver to come to Denmark after many failed attempts to go, I wanted him to meet my mom, my family and see the country that I talked about constantly, I also hoped he would pop the question there! Thankfully at my 36th birthday party, with all of my danish family surrounding us, he asked! And I said Yes!
