The year was 2020. Life changed rapidly for everyone, but for Sierra and Thomas, it ended up being the beginning of something beautiful. Though, it is really funny how it happened. Sierra was on furlough from SeaWorld for about 5 months and got just bored enough to do something she said she NEVER would... download a dating app. Hinge, to be exact. Thomas, meanwhile, was still working, but trying to meet some new people in the same way. They ended up matching and starting talking about none other than Thomas's dog, Peaches. Shortly after they started talking, their lives started working out for the better. Sierra got a new job and new apartment, Thomas was able to buy a house and get out of his apartment. Everything was just going right. From there, talking turned to dating, and that turned into moving in together just a little bit after their one year anniversary. Sierra's cat, Navi, took to Thomas right away and eventually warmed up to Peaches after she learned that Navi does NOT like butt sniffs like dogs do. While life itself is never easy, being together is. Very quickly after moving in together, the couple knew that this was going to last forever. Together, Sierra and Thomas experienced so many things and have made so many future plans. Thomas made a few cosplays to match with Sierra at Megacon. Sierra tries her best to learn about the world of surveying as Thomas explains it during car rides. They (impulsively) adopted their first furry child together, the (in)famous dog at Sierra's place of work, Daisy, who also fit perfectly into the family from the day they brought her home. They both experienced Canada and Alaska together for the first time. Thomas finally proposed to Sierra after teasing her about the ring being in the house for a few months. He asked her privately while they opened presents together on Christmas Eve 2023 and Sierra didn't hesistate to put the ring on and answer yes!
