We're Getting married!!

We met in college, both of us studying theatrical design. A few of us were avoiding school work in the design studio one afternoon when someone brought up sake bombs at Jasmine's.. so we decided to go. We sat across from one another and ended up ignoring our friends all night, talking until the early morning... so we sort of consider this to be our very first date.. Sidney would later inform Kevin that she hates sake, but wanted him to think she could hang. Needless to say, sake bombs will not be our signature drink.

Kevin proposed at The Barnacle Historic State Park, where we spent many Sunday afternoons together. Sidney's favorite spot in the park is the second story balcony of the historic home, overlooking Biscayne Bay. We'd watch the peacocks and squirrels emerge as the sun was setting, and listen to the children learning to sail in the distance. On June 5th, 2022, on that balcony, Kevin proposed!! He had felt so nervous, and was so relieved when she said YES that he quickly shut the ring box and jumped to his feet, forgetting to put the ring on her finger until later. Just beneath the balcony, our families appeared from the bushes with flowers and cameras in hand. The surprises kept coming as siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and all were waiting to celebrate us with a surprise engagement party right after the proposal! We are so grateful to everyone who took part in our special day!
