Malleshwaram
Malleswaram, that bastion of Tamilians in Bangalore, is another locale that is a whole world away from India’s silicon city. The Kaadu Malleswara Temple and Sankey Tank are oases of calm amid the bustle. A new arrival on the scene is the incongruous Mantri Mall, much reviled for being the harbinger of modernization in Malleswaram.
ISKCON temple Bangalore
ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna temple was inaugurated in the year 1997. It is not just a temple, but a cultural complex housing the temples dedicated to the Deities of Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra, Sri Sri Krishna Balarama, Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga, Sri Srinivasa Govinda, Sri Prahlada Narasimha, Bhakta Hanuman, Garudadeva and Srila Prabhupada, Founder Acharya of ISKCON. Bull temple
Located in Basavanagudi, this temple (built by Kempe Gowda in the Dravidian style) contains a huge granite monolith of Nandi. The temple grounds also host the annual groundnut fair in November/December. The nearby Dodda Ganesha Temple and Bugle Rock Garden also can be visited.
Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace
One of Bangalore’s busiest markets, the KR market, hides this surprise: an elegant palace built by Tipu Sultan, with teak pillars and frescoes. Though incomparable to the more famous Tipu Sultan’s palace at Mysore, this is one of the relatively unknown monuments of Bangalore. Visit this palace along with the ruins of the fort nearby
Lalbagh Botanical Garden
A stroll at this 17th century Botanical Garden is one of the best things to do in Bangalore. An initiative of the ruler Tipu Sultan, this garden has amazing attractions and is dotted with beautiful flower beds and ponds. It houses a 3,000-million-year-old rock, amongst the oldest in the world. The garden has over 1,000 exotic plants belonging to Afghanistan and Persia. See birds like Brahminy kite, pond heron, and mynas here. Attend the famous flower shows or boat on the lake. See folk dances and music concerts organized every second & fourth weekend here.
Indian Music Experience Museum
It’s an interesting place with excellent narration of Indian music, it’s history and influences. It also has a section that honor prominent musicians, you can view original instruments of greats and even as recording studio to record your song! Definitely worth a visit.
Kinvah wine Tour
